A variety of applications can be performed with the MaxyGene II, from single temperature soaks to sophisticated multi-step programs. The time or temperature of a cycling step can be automatically increased or decreased during successive cycles. Programs may also be paused while running. During operation, actual times and temperatures are displayed. Estimated run times are automatically calculated and a log of the last run can be displayed or downloaded to a printer or PC. The QIAGEN QIAcube Connect performs fully automated processing of up to 12 samples of selected QIAGEN kits. The QIAcube Connect controls integrated components, including a centrifuge, heated shaker, pipetting system, UV LED and robotic gripper. The QIAcube Connect is preinstalled with various protocols for processing QIAGEN spin columns for purification of RNA, genomic DNA, plasmid DNA, viral nucleic acids or proteins, plus DNA and RNA cleanup. The CQ1 enables 3D imaging and quantification of live cell clusters, such as spheroids within a 3D culture vessel, as they are, keeping the cells intact.
