Senior / Principal Device Engineer – Drug Delivery

Description

CoFlo Medical’s device platform makes at-home administration of therapies possible through subcutaneous delivery of high-viscosity drugs. Our core annular flow technology, developed at MIT, enables >100x faster injections.

As a Device Engineer, you will advance device design, prototyping, and manufacturing from an early stage to commercial readiness, while supporting in-vitro and in-vivo validation studies in collaboration with partners and CROs. The level of this position will be adjusted commensurate to experience.

Requirements

• BS or higher in related field
• Desire to work in a hands-on and high-agency startup environment
• >3-5 years experience in medical device field with proven track record of:
  • Rapid prototyping, design, and early feasibility testing
  • Proficient in DFM, DFA, and plastic injection molding
  • QMS, documentation, and design controls exposure (ISO 13485, 14971, 21 CFR 820.30)

Bonus

• Familiarity with fluid dynamics
• Familiarity with needle-based injection device systems and standards (ISO 11608, 11040, 10993, 11135)
