About Oneskin

#BeLimitless with OneSkin

Come redefine the future of aging with us. We’re a longevity company. Everything we do, we do to help people age at the best version of themselves.

Our founding team is made up of four PhDs and entrepreneurial minds on a mission to transform the way we think about skin and aging. As the pioneers of skin health and longevity, we create science-based, clinically effective products to optimize skin and body health and provide support for people at every step of their “growing limitless” journey. Our longevity approach targets the root causes of aging using a proprietary peptide designed to decrease the accumulation of aged (senescent cells) in the skin — and is the first product proven to reduce skin biological age in humans.

We never settle and are continuously challenging existing treatments and methodologies to advance the frontier of skin science. As we help our customers grow limitless, we grow too — by embracing individuality and differences, leading by example, and empowering ourselves and others with our passion for science, optimal health and innovation.

We are limitless. It’s our mantra. Our commitment is to help anybody and everybody to live life to the fullest regardless of their age.

The Role
As a Scientist at OneSkin, you will play a key role in our R&D team, driving innovation in skin delivery systems and evaluating the efficacy of novel bioactive molecules for reversing the biological age of the skin. Reporting directly to the Head of Research and Innovation, you will contribute to advancing our scientific understanding and product development in skin longevity.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design, formulate and characterize advanced skin delivery systems (e.g., nanoparticles, carriers) and molecule optimization for enhanced skin penetration and targeted delivery of active compounds.
2. Load bioactive molecules or peptides into delivery vehicles and optimize for encapsulation efficiency, stability, and release profiles.
3. Conduct in vitro studies using human skin models to assess delivery efficiency, skin absorption, and biological activity.
4. Validate the mechanism of action of molecules by quantifying changes in senescence markers and other relevant biological endpoints.
5. Develop, optimize, and execute molecular and cellular assays (e.g. mammalian cell culture, qPCR, Western blot, Immunofluorescence imaging)  to evaluate efficacy using human skin models.
6. Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Development, Bioinformatics, and other research partners to integrate findings.
7. Analyze, interpret, and clearly present complex data sets; prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation for internal and external use.
8. Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in skin delivery, aging biology, and dermal pharmacology.
9. Contribute to patent filings, scientific publications, and regulatory documentation as needed.

Requirements

1. PhD in Biomedical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Cell Biology, or related field, with up to 3 years of postdoctoral or industry experience in a biotech, pharmaceutical, or academic research setting.
2. Proven hands-on experience in designing and preparing drug delivery systems.
3. Demonstrated ability to encapsulate, characterize, and test delivery vehicles for drug/peptide delivery in mammalian cell or tissue systems.
4. Strong background in biological assay development and experience working with mammalian cells, tissue or skin models
5. Excellent experimental design, data analysis, record-keeping, and scientific communication skills.
6. Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced startup environment, with experience mentoring and guiding research associates.
7. Authorization to work in the United States is required.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Experience with senotherapeutic compounds, peptide delivery, skin penetration studies, or transdermal drug delivery.
2. Experience in Research and Development within the biotech or pharmaceutical industry.
3. Passion for science-driven innovation and a personal interest in healthspan and longevity.
