About Tranquis Therapeutics:

Tranquis Therapeutics is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Tranquis discovers and develops innovative medicines with the potential to revolutionize the management of neurodegenerative and aging-related diseases and to dramatically reduce the burden these illnesses place on patients, families and societies worldwide.

Founded on groundbreaking immuno-neurology research from the laboratory of Edgar Engleman at Stanford University, Tranquis’ novel therapeutic approach targets underlying myeloid immune cell dysfunction that has been linked to a variety of nervous system disorders.

The company’s portfolio is comprised of small molecules that cross the blood-brain barrier, and the lead molecule, TQS-168, has demonstrated beneficial effects in preclinical models of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD), Parkinson’s Disease (PD), and age-related cognitive impairment.
